This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to paid subscriptions to My Virtual CPA, the desktop financial software offered by Eugenius Enterprises LLC ("Eugenius," "we," "us," or "our"). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
1. 30-Day Free Trial
- New subscribers receive a 30-day free trial of My Virtual CPA.
- A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You are not charged during the trial period.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and your payment method is charged the then-current subscription fee.
- You may cancel at any time during the trial to avoid any charge.
2. Subscription & Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you choose.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- Applicable taxes may be added at checkout where required.
- We may change subscription pricing on a prospective basis; we will provide notice before any change affects your renewals.
3. Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, or by emailing support@eugenius.ai.
- When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, and it will not renew after that.
- You retain access to paid features through the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Because My Virtual CPA is local-first, your data stays on your device and is not deleted by cancelling.
4. Refunds
Because we offer a full 30-day free trial so you can evaluate the product before paying, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial billing periods. Cancelling stops all future charges; it does not refund the current period.
- Monthly plans: cancel any time to stop the next charge. The current month is not refunded.
- Annual plans: cancel any time to stop renewal. Paid annual terms are not refunded on a prorated basis.
- Duplicate or erroneous charges (e.g., an accidental double-charge or a billing error on our part) are fully refunded — contact us and we will correct it promptly.
- We may, at our sole discretion, grant a refund or credit in individual cases (for example, a genuine inability to use the software due to a defect we cannot resolve). Discretionary refunds are not a waiver of this policy.
5. Payments & Merchant of Record
Payments for My Virtual CPA are processed through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our authorized payment provider and merchant of record. The charge on your statement will appear under a descriptor identifying My Virtual CPA / Eugenius. Lemon Squeezy handles the collection and remittance of applicable sales tax and VAT as the merchant of record for these transactions.
6. Disputes & Chargebacks
If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us first at support@eugenius.ai — we resolve the large majority of billing questions quickly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of your subscription while the dispute is reviewed.
